Yesterday our KS4 and 5 students had a talk and performance from singer song writer Bronnie. In between her live performance she discussed mental health, the causes of mental health problems and the importance of speaking up. She linked mental health to body image which has become a real issue for the younger generation linked to social media. She also discussed the importance of treating each other fairly, why diversity should be celebrated, what young people should do if they’re being discriminated against and why it is wrong to discriminate against other people all linked to LGBTQ+ issues.
A great interactive talk raising awareness about some really important issues!
