Sixth Form Open Evening – Thursday 8th  October 2026 at 4.30pm to 7.30pm (Application process opens)

Prospective students and families are warmly invited to attend our Sixth Form Open Evening on 8th  October from 4.30pm to 7.30pm to discover more about the opportunities available and meet our staff and students.

How do I apply for Sixth Form?

Internal students: 

Year 11 students can apply for Sixth Form once the application process opens on our Open Evening. Students will apply via a Microsoft Form and will receive an interview invitation shortly after applying. We welcome students to their personal interview and encourage parents/ carers to attend. During the interview process, students will have the opportunity to discuss their aspirational choices and predicted grades. Shortly after their interview, students will receive a conditional offer letter. 

External students: 

External students are welcomed into our school for Sixth Form Open Evening and are encouraged to apply through our Microsoft Form application form. If you are unable to make our Open Evening, we highly recommend getting in touch with our Key Stage 5 Crew Director Chelsea Lyons, who will arrange a tour of the school with you. External students will be invited to an interview and shortly afterwards will receive a conditional offer letter. 

Offer:

Offered places are dependent upon students meeting the entry criteria for their chosen subjects, references and course availability. 

How many subjects should I choose to study? 

The majority of our students study 3 A Levels (minimum requirement), however some choose to study 4 A Levels. Some students choose to study 2 A levels and 1 Cambridge Technical course.  

Further Mathematics A level should be chosen as a 4th subject, alongside Mathematics A level. 

All students, apart from those studying 4 A Levels will choose one of the following AS Levels to complete alongside their 3 other courses. 

AQA Certificate Level 3 Mathematics Studies 

AQA Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

GCSE Results Day Thursday 20th August 2026 (19th August 2027)

Year 12 commence Sixth Form – Wednesday 2nd  September 2026 (2nd September 2027)

Year 13 return to Sixth Form – Thursday 3rd September 2026 (3rd September 2027)
