GCSE Drama Performance Evening

Our GCSE Drama students took to the stage last Thursday night for a fantastic evening of scripted performances, showcasing the pieces they’ve been preparing for their upcoming exam. Families and staff were treated to extracts from Teechers by John Godber, Blood Brothers by Willy Russell and Three Tall Women by Edward Albee — an impressive range that really highlighted the students’ talent and versatility.

As well as being great entertainment, the evening served as a valuable practice run ahead of their formal exam. It gave students the chance to perform in front of a live audience, gather feedback and make those final refinements before the examiner arrives on 9th February.

The students were outstanding throughout and approached the whole experience with real professionalism. A huge well done to every one of them, and a special thank‑you to their brilliant teacher, Vickie Edwards, for her guidance and support.

Break a leg for the final exam — we’re all cheering you on.
