Students Shine as Sir John Talbot’s Continues Its Strong Record of Success – 2026
There were smiles, celebrations and plenty of proud moments at Sir John Talbot’s School this morning as students collected an excellent set of GCSE results.
The Class of 2026 has demonstrated determination, perseverance and commitment throughout their time at the school, and today’s results reflect the hard work that students, staff and families have invested over many years.
Mrs Charlotte Errington, Head of Year 11, praised the year group for their achievements:
“Congratulations to every student receiving their results today. It has been a privilege to lead this year group throughout their time at Sir John Talbot’s School. They have shown tremendous resilience, character and determination, and today’s results are thoroughly deserved. Beyond their academic achievements, they have made a positive contribution to our school community and created many memorable moments along the way. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and look forward to seeing them flourish in the next stage of their journey.”
Headteacher Mr Tim Stonall also paid tribute to the students’ accomplishments:
“Today is a day of celebration. These results are a testament to the effort, determination and character shown by our students throughout their time at Sir John Talbot’s School. We are immensely proud of what they have achieved and the way they have supported one another along the way. Whether students are joining our Sixth Form, progressing to college, beginning apprenticeships or pursuing other pathways, they leave us equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in the future. We wish every single one of them the very best for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.”
As students celebrate their achievements, many will now take their next steps within the Trust’s Post-16 provision. Sir John Talbot’s students continue to benefit from being part of a strong sixth form community that provides close pastoral support while delivering outstanding outcomes and ambitious progression opportunities. Through the school’s successful collaboration with The Grove School Sixth Form, or the new Open 6 offer, students can access an even broader range of courses and experiences as they prepare for university, apprenticeships and future careers.
